On Tuesday January 17th the Norwin Lady Knights Basketball Team is hosting their annual Pink Out Night to help benefit the Genre’s Kids with Cancer Fund.
Genre Baker was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 2009. Nine months after Genre was diagnosed with cancer, the family and community joined together to help families fighting childhood cancers and being treated at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. Funds raised provide for a variety of needs from video games for children under treatment; Go Bags to help the family with personal care items, notebooks, and pens to help when a child is first diagnosed; financial assistance to the families with items such as lodging expenses, fuel, and food; and spiritual, emotional and mentoring support.
Please join us in support of Genre’s Cancer fund by purchasing chances for our gift basket raffle and purchase of Pink Ribbons from our Norwin Cheerleaders at the game. All proceeds will benefit this wonderful charity.
Norwin Girls Basketball wishes to thank all who have contributed money, baskets and time in making this a successful fundraiser. Special thanks to the Norwin Cheerleaders, Norwin Boys Basketball Boosters and Norwin Girls Basketball Boosters for their support.
